How can LLTL help our youth?

Understanding grief and developing coping strategies are skills that will be used throughout a person’s life.  If grief and loss are suppressed, problems can emerge later that can affect emotional and physical health.  Helping people learn about grief and loss coping strategies at an early age will help:

  • reduce health care costs
  • reduce at-risk behaviours
  • reduce policing costs
  • reduce justice system costs

How can you help our youth?

We invite you to make a difference to the youth in our community.  You can help to positively affect one person that in turn affects the whole family, and by extension the community as a whole is healthier and more able to effectively handle the grief and loss that are a part of living.  So, join with us and invest in youth now to save future healthcare, policing and justice system costs.

We are asking you to support the Living and Learning Through Loss programs with any size of donation that is appropriate for your organization.  Without your generous support we cannot continue to provide this kind of support to a vulnerable segment of our society.

We have many levels of sponsorship:

  • $400 to sponsor one youth for one program
  • $1,800 for the Peer Education Workshop
  • $2,000 to sponsor one peer counselling program
  • $4,000 to sponsor ten youth for one program
  • $45,000 to sponsor the Living and Learning Through Loss annual programs
  • Any size of donation that fits your budget
